"ANKUR " is not a hostel, I would say it's a "HOME". Firstly, I'm blessed that I got an opportunity to be part of Ankur. I never felt homesick because I always had people around me like in a family. I would like to thank all the Akkas for taking care of us like how our mothers do. I also thank our teachers for always supporting us in everything. This place has my whole heart. Ankur does not only focus on academics but also co-curricular activities such as dance, music, theatre, drawing, sports etc. It has shown me the right path to my career. Today I have much more clarity in becoming a Psychologist. The reason behind this confidence is Ankur. Thank you so much Shibu uncle and Kumari mummy for giving me a bright future. "My journey in Ankur was incredible and very memorable. This journey and this place have taught me many things like values, leadership qualities and importance of taking responsibilities. I was 3 years old when I joined the Ankur family, and it was a wonderful experience throughout this journey. The teachers, the staff and the caretakers played a pivotal role in shaping me for what I am today. Growing up here I made a lot of friends and feel very connected to them. Shibu Uncle and Kumari mummy have been a great inspiration to me from the start. During my entire time at Ankur the staff and teachers helped me work on and improve my talent in art that has given me a big edge today over others for which I am very grateful. "There is nothing more important than a good, safe, secure home. For me, Ankur, an organisation, is one such safe and sheltered place. I started off this beautiful journey when I was three years old and is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life. Ankur has been an incredible platform for my personal growth, from learning new things, being able to speak fluent English, doing the daily chores on my own and includes everything that has been a major part of who I am today. The amazing experiences that I had at Ankur are priceless to be honest. I remember being a very shy person, but our Ankur team kept motivating me and today I feel more confident and stronger to face anything that comes my way. It’s a place that makes us always feel safe and healthy, especially during the COVID pandemic. Be it education or creating a family environment, it has fulfilled all these criteria to the fullest. During my middle school years, I was facing difficulties to concentrate on my studies due to family problems. But Ankur didn't fail me. The problems got resolved and gradually I started to keep up with my academic performances. I can’t believe, what I started as a below average student, today I could top in academics at my college. Apart from studies Ankur has given me extra skills in co- curriculum aspects as well.It has provided me with a good value system which I follow till date "R CARE". "ANKUR - My home, My family, My backbone, I call it “the best part of my life” I Beena, joined Ankur when I was 3 years old, not knowing that this hostel would be the greatest blessing of my life. As I recall, I was a studious, active, talented and a very naughty girl. As I grew up, eventually I lost both my parents. Life is not always easy to live, there are storms and hurdles that come along and all we need is someone to push us forward, encourage us to face those difficulties. Ankur has always been there for me as a helping hand that held mine no matter what. I am very lucky, blessed, and grateful to Ankur.
